2025 Volunteer RolesYou must be a current chapter member to volunteer. The following role descriptions are high-level summaries of key responsibilities. Full job descriptions with approximate time commitment for each role are available upon request by emailing volunteers@tdaustin.org. President Elect Serve alongside the current president and learn the ropes of how to manage the Chapter. Perform administrative and strategic tasks to support ATD Chapter Affiliation Requirements (CARE). Attend and facilitate board meetings, participate in strategic planning sessions, manage relationships with partners and sponsors, and grow your leadership and business skills in preparation for being the incoming Chapter president. VP of Administration 2-year term Ensure the smooth operation of the chapter's administrative functions. Maintain accurate records, maintain the Chapter onboarding process and curriculum, prepare reports, and manage access controls for the Chapter's primary communication and business platforms. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to the Chapter's mission.ork with the other Board members to develop annual budgets, create strategic plans, and track the Board's progress on planned initiatives. Lead a team—coach and manage the Director of Records and Director of Events roles to support Chapter activities and promote growth. VP of Finance Work with the Chapter board members to develop annual budgets, monitor compliance with budgets, and partner with our bookkeeper to ensure strong financial performance and controls for the Chapter. Collaborate with board members on strategic planning for the chapter and attend Chapter events. Coach and manage the Director of Partnerships role to ensure strong partnerships and sponsorships to support Chapter activities and promote growth. VP of Marketing and Communication 2-year term Work with the Chapter board members to develop annual budgets, monitor compliance with budgets, and partner with our bookkeeper to ensure strong financial performance and controls for the Chapter. Collaborate with board members on strategic planning for the chapter and attend Chapter events. Coach and manage the Director of Partnerships role to ensure strong partnerships and sponsorships to support Chapter activities and promote growth. Director of Events and Projects 1-year term Play a pivotal role in driving the Chapter's growth and engagement. Oversee the planning and execution of various chapter events, including workshops, networking sessions, and the annual summit. Manage special projects that contribute to the chapter's overall goals. Key responsibilities include: Planning and executing chapter events and projects, managing event budgets and logistics, coordinating with other chapter leaders, recruiting and training volunteers, and representing the chapter professionally. Director of Socials 1-year term Schedule, plan, and facilitate in-person and virtual social networking events for the Austin talent development community. Work with the Director of Projects and Events to coordinate event space. Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to promote upcoming networking socials. Facilitate fun networking activities to introduce community members to Chapter members and leaders. Work alongside the VP of Membership to foster member engagement and satisfaction. |
