Program Events

cOMMUNITIES OF PRACTICE

Join these collaborative virtual discussion groups to advance specific skills in the field of Talent Development. These 60-minute sessions are hosted by community directors with demonstrated expertise in their respective areas. A new topic is featured (or expanded upon) each session. Sessions are designed to build engagement and community.  


Networking Socials

We rotate between in-person and virtual networking socials each month. Our socials are your opportunity to let loose and connect with your Austin ATD community! Come join these informal networking events to connect and engage with fellow Talent Development professionals.

Chapter Meetings

Our quarterly, in-person chapter meetings allow members to network, interact with expert panels, catch up on talent development trends, and be in the know about what’s coming up for ATD Austin.

During onboarding, you will network with other members, learn about our chapter, and discover ways to get the most out of your membership.

APTD | CPTD Recertification

Every three years, Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) and Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) credential holders must earn recertification points demonstrating their continued growth in the field.  ATD Austin is a pre-approved provider for eligibility and recertification points with the ATD Certification Institute.

  • Approval and credits are awarded based on the educational time spent on talent development-related topics at the rate of one point per contact hour.
  • Attendees of ATD Austin's professional development programs are responsible for obtaining proof of attendance and reporting the number of hours earned.
