The Multi-Generational Workplace -- Why Can't We Just Get Along?

with Marc Miller, Career Pivot

The workplace is now multi-generational with different communication styles, expectations, values and need for feedback. There are challenges in getting all these generational groups to get along. For the job seeker, you can expect to interview with at least two generations--each one with different expectations and communication styles.

Marc Miller, the founder of Career Pivot, will cover five generations: Greatest, Silent, Baby Boomers, Gen X and Gen Y. We are familiar with these generations because we have grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles, brothers and sisters, cousins, children or granchildren from all of these generations -- but may not know how to interact with them.

Our fascinating session will cover:

  •  Major events that shaped each generation
  •  The communication styles of each generation
  •  How to better interact with coworkers, interviewers and bosses
