Program Description:

As learning professionals, we typically design and develop courses or modules for a specific learning request. These stand-alone courses may end up in a repository or LMS (and possibly lost forever!). But what if these courses were part of a larger sequence or set of courses and learning activities, i.e., learning paths, designed to help learners connect the dots from point A to point B?

Learning paths can dramatically improve the learning process and speed to performance by focusing the right kinds of learning at the right levels of difficulty. The value of learning paths is that they can be linked to career paths or certifications and  can reduce overall learning time and costs.

This session will help you identify path development opportunities in your organization through interactive exercises and a brief case study. Join us for lunch, and learn to:

  • Define learning paths and distinguish from similar concepts such as certifications and specializations
  • Identify key strategies for aligning paths with business results
  • Identify major steps in the path development process

As an added bonus, you will receive a complimentary white paper entitled "The Business Case for Learning Paths" that can be shared with teams and leadership.
