Event Details:
Have you ever been overwhelmed when a training request comes across your desk and you are unsure where to start? If you answered “yes” then this session is for you (and any L&D professionals that are looking to learn more about training needs analysis).
Analysis is the data-gathering element of instructional design that informs the overall learning initiative. In this session, we will discuss what analysis entails, what data you should collect and analyze, and how you can use your data to inform a learning design that achieves results.
This will be an interactive session using Howspace for participation and networking opportunities with fellow attendees and ATD Austin members! And don’t forget to participate in the February ID Challenge posted at the bottom of the Instruction Design page in Howspace.
About Your Facilitator:
After being in the L&D industry for nearly a decade (wearing many hats…as we all tend to do), Nicki found her passion in instructional design (ID).
Nicki has had the opportunity to gain ID experience in the traditional landscape of higher education, the process-oriented corporate world, and the fast-paced and ever-changing environment of tech startups!
Nicki has a master's degree specializing in Training and Development. With her educational background and professional experience combined, she takes a systematic approach to help stakeholders achieve their goals regarding L&D.
Whether she is developing curriculum paths, creating training programs, or designing learning products—Nicki is always focused on creating transformative and behavior-based experiences. The opportunity to make someone’s life better (or at least easier) by helping them improve their skills or enhance their scope of knowledge is both rewarding and gratifying.
Outside of the office, you can find Nicki staying caffeinated while visiting all of Austin's local coffee shops!
