Visual Thinking

Program Description:

Join us as Allison Crow, Founder of Crow Conversations, helps us leave behind the world of words and bullet point presentations. Learn what’s behind the power of Visual Thinking, why it can be more energizing, engaging and potentially yield the most successful results.

Come discover:

  • What is Visual Thinking and Involved Learning?
  • What is Visual Push and Visual Pull?
  • What are some fresh, creative techniques and tools to engage learners visually?

Whether you’re tasked with consecutive training roll outs for call center learners or planning and designing with a new cross-functional team, Visual Thinking can facilitate deeper understanding, engagement and improved recall of substantial amounts of information. Instructional designers, trainers and team managers can all apply Visual Thinking.

Be prepared to engage with "hands on" visual thinking. Paper & markers will be provided. However, feel free to bring your favorite doodling aids: paper, drawing pencils, pens crayons, marker, iPad. (Let your inner doodler out for fun!)

Speaker Profile:

Allison Crow is a professional trainer, facilitator, and coach, who specializes in how thinking impacts behavior. She uniquely employs both large-scale and digital communication visual thinking methods in her work. Allison earned a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Educational Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1999.

Early in her teaching career, she was a pioneer in the use of visuals and technology with elementary and middle school students. This launched her quickly into education technology. Her drive for continuous learning and expansion eventually led Allison to performance coaching and training in the sales industry.

In 2009 she successfully launched Crow Hill Conversations, a visual thinking company providing group and individual training and facilitation services for audiences worldwide. She has been hired by Dell, Shell Energy, MAPS Coaching, Educational Alliance Advancement, Keller Williams Reality International, Marathon Oil, Citibank and various non-profits to demonstrate the value of visual thinking in learning situations.

In the spring of 2011, Allison left the corporate umbrella of a large international coaching company where she spent almost 3 years coaching sales professionals and 2 years coaching other coaches. Free from the corporate box, Allison now specializes in coaching other coaches, life coaching for individuals, and still does some sales coaching for progressive open minded businesses.

Her current studies include advanced coaching skills, neuroscience, leadership, and personal transformation. Allison is also in the process of completing a certification program for graphic coaching.
