Image result for leadership developmentIn September of 2016, TCEQ launched the Leadership & Management Excellence Program (LMEP), representing a shift that oriented the agency’s leadership development efforts toward a continuous learning and development model built on agency-defined competencies. 

This presentation will focus on the benefits derived from making this transition, including:

  • Transparency into how leadership development opportunities are obtained
  • Emphasis on targeting learner readiness
  • Consistency in language used agency-wide
  • Connection to the performance appraisal process

About the Speaker:

Anise Gencer, CTCM, SHRM-CP, Leadership & Management Development Specialist

Anise has a background in Human Resources with experience in Recruitment, Staffing, Policy Compliance Auditing, Training and Organizational Development. She launched her career in the private sector, in California, before moving to Austin. She began employment in the Human Resources & Staff Services Division at TCEQ in January of 2014. She is currently an HR Specialist on the Training & Organizational Development team, with a focus on HR Policy Training and Leadership/Management Development. Anise obtained both her SHRM Certified Professional credential and her CTCM in 2016. Anise earned her B.A. in Psychology from Sonoma State University.
