Guiding Groups to Appropriate and Useful Outcomes!

Based on the core competencies identified by the International Association of Facilitators, this 4-part pilot Special Interest Group will leverage participant's facilitation wisdom and that of SIG moderator Lynda Baker to highlight a different set of tools and techniques at each session.

Meet new and experienced facilitators and get inspiration and ideas for your next facilitation challenge. Whether you are facilitating once-in-a-while or a once-a-week meeting, a half day workshop or a full day retreat - this special series will increase your facilitation knowledge, address facilitation challenges and develop skills to be a competent group process facilitator!

Participants will become familiar with facilitator core competencies as defined by the International Association of Facilitators, identify best practices and explore how colleagues are using facilitation tools and techniques.

Attend one or all sessions. In this session we will explore answers to the questions, how do successful facilitators:

  • guide the group with clear methods and processes?
  • facilitate group self-awareness about its task?
  • guide the group to consensus and desired outcomes?
