Upon closer examination, the question turns out to be a 'people' challenge and a better question is, "What skills and behaviors do we need our people to develop in order to turn our organization's strategies into results?"
Increasingly, organizations that focus on competency-driven talent management show a growth in revenue by a least 10% higher than the industry average. A competency-based approach allows companies to better engage, develop and retain great employees. However work must be done to navigate the chaotic world of competencies, to organize and serve up relevant talent information to organizations, in a way that translates learning and development into action and bottom line results.
